The ICL3225ECAZ is a full-duplex RS-232 transceiver IC designed for operation from +3V to +5.5V. It features ±15kV ESD protection, low power consumption (1µA in powerdown), and supports data rates up to 1Mbps. The device is suitable for portable applications, requiring only four external 0.1µF capacitors for operation. It is compatible with 3.3V and 5.0V systems, making it ideal for PDAs, laptops, and other battery-powered devices.
